Welcome to Cranaleith Spiritual Center

Cranaleith, Gaelic for "Sanctuary of Trees" opened in 1998 in the Somerton section of Philadelphia. It is a not-for-profit foundation that holds a large Victorian home and a 10-acre estate in stewardship with a mission to foster wholeness and spiritual transformation. The center offers a gracious, contemplative environment in which people of all faiths can reflect on their deepest values and hopes for their own lives and for society.

In partnership with the Sisters of Mercy, Cranaleith offers a contemplative space for all those seeking wholeness and transformation for themselves and society.

We seek to invite those at the center of need and those at the center of influence to reflection, reverent dialogue and meaningful partnerships.

We are committed to make Cranaleith accessible to all who thirst, and most especially to persons who are poor and those who work in solidarity with them.
