For People in Business and the Professions:
A Time for Reflection on Your Work, Your Life, and Your Values

You work hard and accomplish a lot ~ do you want more out of life?

What gives meaning and purpose to your work?

What energizes you? Inspires you? Saps your strength?

What happens to you when pressures of the marketplace pull in
directions not aligned with your spirit/values?

Is there a balance between work and the rest of your life?

Are you at a point in life where your thoughts turn to legacy?

What gifts do you want to “pass forward?”

The Work & Spirit Series is designed to provide a breathing space for those in business and the professions to be with their own questions and stirrings regarding work and spirit. You are invited to give yourself the gift of time and space to reflect with colleagues seeking to integrate personal values and meaning in the context of work life.

Cranaleith offers a gracious environment, quiet reflection, supportive dialogue with colleagues, and a process conducive to discovering afresh the wisdom that lies within. Participants have the opportunity to explore from their own experience what humanizes the workplace, honors the human spirit and frees people to do their best work arising from a sense of integrity and larger purpose.

The Advisory Group donate their time and expertise as facilitators. Half of the revenue generated by these sessions goes directly to support retreat days with persons of limited means, who suffer from homelessness, addictions, chronic mental illness, AIDS and abuse. Your participation in the Work & Spirit program helps sustain our ministry with the most vulnerable in our society, awakening awareness of their resilient spirit.

Work & Spirit Sessions for Organizations / Staffs

As part of our commitment to help more people experience a deeper connection between work & spirit, members of the Advisory Group are available to design and conduct sessions for groups of persons from a specific company/organization. Participants might include executive leaders, management teams, high potential leaders. In keeping with Cranaleith’s not-for-profit mission, fees are scaled to the revenue base of the organization. To inquire about scheduling a session with your group either at Cranaleith or your workplace, contact Mary Trainer, RSM at 215-934-6206.

Women in Leadership

Cranaleith Work & Spirit sessions are exceptionally well suited for sponsorship by companies and organizations supporting the leadership development of women. The experience of these women speaks for itself:

“I valued the opportunity for self-reflection and introspection that I rarely give myself. I believe the connections I experienced with the other women were strong and we have a new bond amongst us and can offer each other support and encouragement and a kind of mentoring going forward.”

“I found the day surprisingly worthwhile. Somehow you created an environment and discussion process that I found to be calming and at the same time quite intense. Intense in terms of depth of thought and reflection that I experienced in just a few hours. It was a ‘day off’, but it was so productive.”

“I have returned to the office refreshed, with a greater appreciation for my colleagues and for our shared challenges. The pressures of our demanding, fast-paced world can leave one feeling overwhelmed. This event ‘humanized’ the workplace for me. Without opportunities like this, you never know what issues your colleagues are facing, how similar they are to your own, and how you can support one another.”
